Celebrating 30th Anniversary of Opening of SGI-Ghana Center

SGI-Ghana celebrated the 30th anniversary of the opening of the first SGI center on the African continent, the SGI-Ghana Center in Accra, at a general meeting with some 700 members on May 18.

The meeting was held in Tema, Attending the meeting were members who had been engaged in building the SGI-Ghana Center over a period of time, overcoming many challenges as they did so, in the early years of their Buddhist practice.
The General Director Mr. Dolittle Kwaku Sintim-Aboagye encouraged  the youth members to use the anniversary as an opportunity to initiate and engage in dialogue with the society and  change their perceptions about life, based on the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism.
