The Asanteman Council has strongly indicated that it will do everthing within it's powers to sever ties with the Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Kojo Bonsu over his gross insubordination to the occupant of the Golden stool.
Otumfuo Manwerehene, Nana Baffour Osei Brentuo Hyiaman V who spoke in an interview has appealed to the president to replace him with immediate effect.
“He is not the only person who is capable of managing the affairs of the area. There are other indigents who are equally capable of managing issues of Asanteman. We are appealing to the president to replace him, Nana Manwerehene added that the Traditional Council can no longer stomach the disrespect shown by Kojo Bonsu who on several occasions failed to honour their invitation to resolve pertinent issues about the Garden City.”, he said
“He showed insubordination to the council after his failure to honour several invitations. We have stomached his gross disrespect for a long time and we no longer enjoy good working relationship with him”, he added.
