The Shield star, who appeared in Planet of the Apes, Boogie Nights, and Forrest Gump, shot and killed his wife during an argument at their residence, Los Angeles home in 2014, feet away from their two young children.

Tannaz Mokayef told jurors Jace was "obsessed" with his wife, April,
who was seeking a divorce to end their marriage and the prosecutors also
revealed the actor believed his wife was having an affair and cheating on him.His defence attorney, Jamon Hicks, pleaded for voluntary manslaughter verdict after admitting that Jace shot his wife
once in the back and twice in the legs.
Their little son, Nehemiah, testified that he saw his father drag his mother into a
hallway near his bedroom, where she fell down before he shot her.
In his closing argument, Jace's attorney acknowledged his client
murdered his wife,
Jace faces up to 50 years to life behind bars.
