Christian group warns EC boss



Christian pressure group, Movement for the Kingdom Image (MFKI), has condemned the EC and the Chairperson of Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, for what the group has described as a "deliberate inclusion of political party members" to a committee which is supposed to be non-partisan only to cause chaos in the upcoming elections.


The group in a statement signed and issued by its National officers, Rev. Osempakani Kaakyire Kofi, president and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Rev. Daniel Osei Budu,  in Accra, appealed to Mrs. Osei to know that, “the seat she is occupying is a very delicate and very sensitive one and must be handle  with  value for the dignity of lives. ”  the statement cautioned  the EC boss not to do anything that may cause  any trouble in the country and that the EC ought to serve the interest and the people of Ghana rather than a political party.

 The group seeks for peace and sanity of the country and  take seriously into consideration the peace and political stability of Ghana. The group believed that the EC needs to exercise caution and  be extra wise in its dealings before, during and after the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections in order to avert possible calamity

To this end, the group cautioned the EC to carry out its mandate as independently as possible to avoid any election-relatedproblems that may cause chores, the EC need not become a recipe for chores for the country.
