 President Barack Obama addressing the Ghanian parliament in 2009 declared that “Africa doesn't need strongmen, it needs strong institutions,” which he was applauded,but Mr, president it takes strong men to build stronger institutions, without strong individuals there cannot be stronger institutions.
In the United States there are strong individuals or men who had built stronger institutions there so there is law and order, discipline, good governance etc ....on the other hand in Ghana, because there are weak individuals or men, there are weaker institutions, there is corruption, mismanagement, poverty, lawlessness etc it is because of this that our president John Maham has accepted the two Gitmo guys into the Ghanaian society when strong men in the united states had rejected them strongly. kudos to President Buhari of Nigeria and Faure Gnassingbé of Togo respectively for rejecting them into their society, yes strong men indeed they are an example of strong men in Africa.
