Oh, Unemployed Graduates Association registers thousands of members

From the weekend finder of the Ghana Unemployed Graduates Association, its membership keep increasing astronomically. The director of operations of the association, Desmond Bress-Biney indicated that their membership of 24,647, more than doubled the number they registered the previous year, with new and more members joining the association yearly with 2012 recording the highest so far.

The fact that Graduates unemployment keep increasing yearly is an indication that our educational institutions is very weak and have a lot to offer students in that they only teach or train students to acquire certificates but not to be problem solving oriented, because if after university education you are not able to think or create a business or do something to earn a living for yourself and others, then the purpose of education  has been defeated in all its practical sense, this seriously calls for a massive reforms in our educational system, our educational systems must be able to produce capable students in all aspects of life, those that could think out of the ordinary and be very creative to start something of their own, even on a small scale, there are prominent people, wealthy millionaires some of whom did not even had university education yet made it big in terms of wealth.

The students on the other hand must also do self analysis and find out from deep within them what it is that they are capable of doing to make a living and stop being jobless as it is very very bad on their part to claim they are jobless after university education. After acquiring university education, if there are no jobs to do, think and create your own jobs no matter how hard it becomes, perseverance is the only way  to successes.

The Government is supposed to create enabling environment to cushion  the students to crate and find jobs after schooling but it is not there to facilitate  your safety so what do you do if the government has not done its best for you, what do you do!, think and grow rich. You are wasting the entrepreneurship spirit in most of you by enjoying being jobless.
